Jane da Mosto has been awarded the Masi Prize for the “Civiltà Veneta”. The award, created by the Masi Foundation and now in its fortieth year, chose the theme “Vision and Courage”.
Jane da Mosto commented as follows:
“It is a completely unexpected and much appreciated honour to receive the Masi Civiltà Veneta Award. The fact that I was chosen means that now is the time to act, all together, with ‘vision and courage’. Any of us must act, to help to restore the balance – to save Venice and its lagoon and, with that, help the world.”
Along with Jane da Mosto, the other winners are the physicist Roberto Battiston and the musician-entrepreneur Paolo Fazioli.
The winners were invited to sign the historic barrel of Amarone in the Masi cellars by the Fondazione’s President Isabella Bossi Fedrigotti, the Vice-President Sandro Boscaini and Secretary Marco Vigevani.
