When we set up the organisation in 2015 we were motivated by an urgent feeling that something must be done, and if not by us, then who? The same sense of urgency continues to drive us, within an increasingly stable kind of dynamic equilibrium.
As demonstrated by the work laid out in this report, WahV’s approach has always been rigorous, collaborative and practical. Across the past half decade we have forged many valuable relationships, created real change on the ground, and acted as an international voice for the city and its people.
Our work is organised into three action areas: Venice is the Lagoon, Languages of Value and Exchange of Knowledge. Moreover, WahV’s impacts and effectiveness of action are managed and monitored in relation to the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the SDG Impact Assessment Tool.
